They have three boys who are now instrumental in the operation. Cody
graduated from high school in 2007 and made the difficult decision to end
his wrestling career. During his 9 years of folk style wrestling he
qualified for the state finals 6 times and earned a top 6 finish at state
his senior year. He attended Lake Land Community College where he was in the
Ag Production program and a member of the livestock judging team. His plans
are to come home to the family farm and focus his full attention on the
livestock.
Wes graduated from high school in 2009 and is currently attending
Danville Area Community College in the Ag Business program. In recent years
he has been active in wrestling, soccer, woodworking, 4-H, and FFA. He
currently serves as the Illinois Junior Shorthorn Association Treasurer.
Clint is a freshman in high school and loves to ride his dirt bike and
4-wheeler when he’s not busy in the barn. He is active in 4-H and FFA, bow
hunts for deer, and shows market lambs in addition to the cattle.
Janet says” Scott and I feel very blessed to have healthy, active children to
share our lives with and feel fortunate to have the cattle to keep us working,
hoping, and dreaming together. We’ve made many wonderful friendships with our
fellow cattlemen and are very fortunate to be able to share our passion for
raising and showing cattle with our children.”
