Leemon Stock Farm is a fifth generation family farm operation in
the heart of the prairie land located about 100 miles south of
Chicago. Scott and Janet Jordan Leemon along with their sons, Cody,
Wes, and Clint raise breeding stock and grow approximately 2500
acres of corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, and hay.
While primarily a purebred Shorthorn operation they have ventured into the
ShorthornPlus program and also have a few various other breeds at the farm.
Scott’s family is one of the oldest breeders still active today having started
in 1901. Janet’s involvement began in the early 1970’s with a 4-H project. Both
Scott and Janet served the Shorthorn breed on the National Junior Shorthorn
Association Board of Directors.

They have three boys who are now instrumental in the operation.
Cody, Wes, and Clint are all actively involved with the decisions and
challenges that each day brings. They are invaluable at Leemon Stock
Farm and are the driving force behind much of our success.
Janet says” Scott and I feel very blessed to have healthy, active children to
share our lives with and feel fortunate to have the cattle to keep us working,
hoping, and dreaming together. We’ve made many wonderful friendships with our
fellow cattlemen and are very fortunate to be able to share our passion for
raising and showing cattle with our children.”
